Thanks for the report!
This is possibly a duplicate of https://github.com/nextcloud/mail/issues/10384. Could you please check your DNS?
I use the Nextcloud snap on Ubuntu Server with default network config. It's running on a HyperV host under Windows Server.
Thanks for the information. Have you checked if DNS operations could be the bottleneck?
DNS shouldn't be an issue. No other services using the DNS server has speed issues.
Thank you for your feedback
I think the best way to "x-ray" the slowness is to create an xdebug profile: https://xdebug.org/docs/profiler. Is that something you could do? It would show us precisely where time is spent.
How would that be done with the Nextcloud Snap? I'm not very good with snaps, but aren't they read only?
Is it not possible to change PHP configuration of a snap?
I don't think it is in this case, since PHP is part of the snap, tho i could be wrong.
https://github.com/nextcloud/server/pull/55265 could help
Hi there! It looks like this issue hasn’t seen much activity for a while and might need a bit more information to move forward. If we don’t hear back soon, we may close it to keep things organized. Thanks again for your contributions – we really appreciate it!
This issue is not stale, it's still happening. But it is a duplicate of #10384
I unfortunately hhave another deployment in jeopardy because of it, the new client loves nextcloud but 30 seconds to open an email is derailing the whole thing and breaking the magic. No one will put up with those load times unfortunately.
Anyway I can get an XDebug trace for you, I'll post some more details over at #10384.
