I saw other "invalid URL" issues that seemed related but most of them are either quite old or hitting at a different moment (people seem to be able to log in), so I open a new one.
Steps to reproduce
- Log out or install the app to get to self-hosted server URL page
- Enter server URL
- Fail
Expected behaviour
The app should redirect to the user login screen.
Actual behaviour
Right when typing enter after the server URL, get pop-up message "Invalid URL".
Logs
Unfortunately, I don't have any logs.
Reasoning or why should it be changed/implemented?
The server is fully functional, accessible from the URL https://nessie.kimou.fr from a web browser, from the Android client, from the Linux and Windows desktop apps. I don't have access to a different iOS device to test if the problem is this specific device or the iOS app in general.
Environment data
iOS version: e.g. iOS 18.6.2
Nextcloud iOS app version: 7.1.2
Server operating system: docker
Web server: nginx (swag)
Database: mysql 11.4.8
PHP version: 8.3.25
Nextcloud version: 31.0.8
I'm having the same problem
Iām getting this connection error now as well, in a setup that was working flawlessly before. Unfortunately I can not pin down if/which Update triggered the issue.
iOS 18.7.1 NXC app: 7.1.9.1 NXC Server: 32.0.9
I'm having the same issue at the moment and this is basically the only thing coming up on Google.
For me, I had rebuilt my Nextcloud server from scratch and had to do a migration.
When I deleted my account from my Nextcloud app and added a new one (different login, same URL), it was throwing the "invalid server URL, error: -1000" error.
Deleted the app from my iPhone which deleted all of it's on-device data that was cached. Reinstalled and logged in again; all working.
So just noting that it might just be the app caching weird things.
Deleting the ios app and reinstalling it solved the problem for me.
