Steps to reproduce

  1. Add external share to your NextCloud, such as a server folder to be visible into NextCloud
  2. Have there some files with very long names
  3. Try to see their full name in the app. Impossible.

Expected behaviour

To be able to see such long file names

Actual behaviour

I have this situation and I can’t find a way to read complete file names. File names always have hidden endings, with ellipsis (…). Try with a file with name as long as 2024.06.16-16.46.01 • Clara e Max saindo do Hadikali 【Avi Alkalay·︎iPhone 15 Pro Max】.heic.

I would normally edit its name to read it all and even copy its name, but since this is a read-only external folder, the NextCloud app doesn’t give me a field to edit (and read, and copy) its name.

Environment data

iOS version: 18.5

Nextcloud iOS app version: 6.6.4.5

Nextcloud version: 31.0.4

File name truncated with ellipsis. No Rename option in the actions menu.

Now I see that the Rename option appears only if action menu is invoked for the file on the folder view, but doesn’t appear in the action menu when invoked on single file preview. And then I can see the full file name.

But then the UI is inconsistent. There shouldn’t be a Rename option for this file because it is a read only location.
