Title: π¨ Regression: New photos not detected for auto-upload since v6.6.0 (album-based logic broken)
Since updating to version 6.6.0 (April 4, 2025), the iOS app no longer detects and uploads new photos automatically. This used to work flawlessly.
π Reproduction Steps Enable Auto Upload (default setup, full photo access)
Use default Camera Roll (no album filtering)
Tap βUpload Allβ β all existing photos are uploaded β
Take a new photo β it never uploads β
No errors in app logs, no uploads triggered
Tried uninstalling the app and starting from scratch. Same issues. Tried on 3 devices.
β Confirmed Working App has full access to all photos
WebDAV, reverse proxy (HAProxy), and server permissions are fine
Upload of 1000+ existing photos worked
Manual upload from photo library works
Immich and other apps detect and sync new photos on same devices
β Broken Behavior New photos are not detected or queued for upload after 6.6.0
No upload attempts reach the server (verified via logs)
Seems directly tied to the new album-based auto upload feature
Possibly an issue with default album behavior when no selection is made
Can confirm. "Camera roll" selected instead of individual albums. Device log reports:

This is also happening for me. Have to disable and re-enable auto uploads for new photos to get uploaded. I'm on version 6.6.1.
And progress on fixing this bug?
