Can't print shared documents

Open sysvwfwsw opened this issue 2 years ago • 2 comments

Steps to reproduce

I share two (PDF-)Documents with another user. One of them with "Read only", one with "changings allowed"

Now the receiver wants to print the documents.

  • First try: Open the app. Click the "read only"(-PDF). It opens. Print isn't in the feature list.
  • Second try: Open the app. Click on the 3-point-menu at the "read only"(-PDF). Print isn't in the feature list.

There are no "problems" with the "changings allowed"(-PDFs)

Reasoning or why should it be changed/implemented?

I can't understand why I can't print an opened document. Bug or Feature? It would be great if it would be possible to print shared documents.

System: Nextcloud Liquid for iOS 4.8.6.4 on iOS 17.1.1 // Nextcloud Server 26.0.8 Server operating system: Ubuntu Server Web server: Apache2 PHP version: 8.1

Read-only -> No print. it's deliberately so designed

And why? I can print shared files via browser. It doesnt make sense to restrict the iOS App here.

If you can read / download the file you should be able to print the file even more if iths possible via browser but not the app.
