can't open .url files

When opening a .url file in the app, the iOS share menu opens, but it isn't possible to open the URL behind it. It would be great if it had a simple popup showing the URL and the question "do you want to open this URL in your browser?" or something similar, then two buttons "open" and "cancel".

Derdast, I downloaded the Surflbird app but I can't seem to find any functionality to access and open .url or .webloc files in my folders on Google Drive. What do I miss?
