setting folder as "available offline" should be recursive

Open lmamane opened this issue 4 years ago • 5 comments

Expected behaviour

When I set a folder as "available offline", it should download all the contents of that folder, subfolders, subsubfolders, etc and keep all that as available offline.

Actual behaviour

Nothing happens. The directory gets a green "down arrow" symbol, but nothing is downloaded at all until one clicks on it, or goes into the "triple dot" menu for each item and set them as available offline one by one.

Steps to reproduce

Set a non-empty folder to "available as offline".

Reasoning or why should it be changed/implemented?

Much more practical for the user. Behaviour any user would expect.

iOS version

Hello Johannes. Thank you for your excellent work in providing this app to the world. You marked this issue as a bug and me and others are waiting for it's correction. Too bad to not find it in the last available version, I hope the work to get it is not too hard. Its availability will make a lot of happy users.

Hallo Johannes, I also wanna thank you for your work.

Many people of your Group are struggling with the "available as offline" Function. They expect the sub-folders would be included, but until now that’s not the case. So, when they are offline with their iPads most of the files are missing. Please, please correct this issue. That would make Nextcloud much more intuitive and reliable.

Thank you

Is there a fix planned for this? Clicking on hundreds of sub folders on iPad is very tedious.

+1 for this issue

@marinofaggiana I'm absolutely not sure if this is such as easy as I think in my small web-devs head, but if it would be so, I think I could try to fix this.....

But I didn't work with swift before...

Still present in iOS 4.8.6.4. Is this on the roadmap somewhere to be addressed?
