Feature request: iOS 13 automation hooks/integration
Expected behaviour
iOS 13 includes the automation app to create shortcuts and allows for automation based on external events like connecting to a specific WiFi, arriving at a location. Based on other apps it looks like apps can offer hooks for certain tasks.
Nextcloud could/should offer such hooks for some tasks for user created scripts. One thing I can immediately think of would be a trigger to auto upload photos. This could be used to upload photos when connecting to a specific WiFi.
iOS version
13
Edit: this might be helpfull: https://developer.apple.com/documentation/sirikit/adding_user_interactivity_with_siri_shortcuts_and_the_shortcuts_app
I do support this request. The auto upload triggering (both, selecting files for upload and upload on connection) does not work at the moment.
Duplicate of #662, but I’d love Shortcuts support too!
Yes please add siri shortcut support… Im trying to find a way to backup/archive my photos from my iphone… it works great and i really like the „media“ view of the app much more than owncloud. But background sync works in owncloud (sometimes) and in nextcloud it only syncs when i open the app… i would like to automate this using siri triggers/automations in the background
Please! Implement
I have tried everything including Toolbox Pro to get this working.
I have so many workflows in which I’d like to save a file to Nextcloud so that a script on the server can process it further: Automatic scans of receipts, automation that exports every ApplePay transaction, pictures, tracking baby feeding times and so much more.
Adding shortcuts to Nextcloud would be so amazing and open the gate to many powerful applications.
OwnCloud supports it for a long time btw, any chance it can be brought over? I think it’s open source still? https://owncloud.com/features/apple-shortcuts/
An automation that uploads all your photos (if configured) would be the final step left to getting rid of iCloud and making Nextcloud a mostly functional replacement (if you ignore some app specific iCloud Drive stuff)
