Bug description

On Unified search, when I try to use the "In folder" filter, no results appear. It always returns "No matching results", no matter what I search for.

Steps to reproduce

Click on the "Unified search" button
Click on "Spaces", then choose "In folder" (you need to be in the "Files" tab to use this filter)
Select a folder that contains the file you are looking for and click "Pick"
Enter your search query, e.g. "Acqu" for the file "Acquisition.doc"
"No matching results" is returned

When I disable FTS, NC continues to work, but without FTS functionality, and the filter still does not work.

Moreover, I do not think this issue is related to FTS apps. I performed a fresh installation of the master version of the NC server ('version' => '32.0.0.0'), installing only the following applications:

The issue remains the same: when I use the "In folder" filter, regardless of what I enter in the search query (unified search), it always returns "No matching results".

Anything special about the folder(s) you're searching? i.e. located on External Storage, Group Folders, Encrypted, etc.

There might be a connection with the "Group Folders" app. When I disable it, I no longer have any files or folders.

I do not have regular files, and I cannot add any. For my use case, I would not use "personal files". So, if I disable the "Group Folders" app, I am unable to search for any file or anything else.

Could someone provide me with a screenshot or an example of what the unified search returns when the "In folder" filter is applied, please?

I am trying to find a way to make it work for "Group Folders", but I am struggling to figure out how. Without the "In folder" filter, my searches work fine, even when applying one of these filters after clicking "Load more results":

This means that the filter is applied correctly and only displays the corresponding elements. For example, if I click "Load more results" under "Files" section, I only get a list of files. However, when I remove the filter, all results are shown again.

This suggests that the unified search seems to be working normally. even though I have to use the groupfolders apps.

I also encountered on the same bug, serching with In folder option works only for my personal folders and does not when choosing group folder. Searching without In folder option works fine for files inside group folders and personal ones.

I think this might be fixed by https://github.com/nextcloud/server/pull/52775 which is available in 31.0.6 and 30.0.12. Can someone check and confirm if this is still a problem or solved?
