Add buttons to controls bar via handlebar instead of adding them to the template

Description

Most buttons are part of the template. At load time, Gallery evaluates if there is something to show and if not, it hides most of the buttons. It's not great to see the buttons disappear.

I would find it much better if those buttons could appear (with a nice effect) when the app has something to show

The alternative is to find a nicer way to make them disappear, so that it looks intentional.

Better UX Might make it easier to build flexible UIs?
