results are not sorted

please - result lines should be :

  • sorted - newest first - default
  • sort by ** directory + filename ** filename ** date newest/oldest first.

currently the search result random, difficult to work with

BUMP

Fulltextsearch is a very important feature to us, but the actual search page implementation is just awful. This is what I get on an instance with ~5k files: grafik 133 pages! And most of them contain one or two files. The user would - worst case scenario - have to click a hundered times to get to the file hes looking for. Isn't it possible to just implement some kind of sorting with say a limit of 50 entries per page?

I can confirm this. The results page also contains often empty pages.
