Additional info
Updated from 3.17.3 to 4.0.1 If debug archive is needed, please, provide upload link.
I just restored to v3.17.3 and the issue remains. The last Windows update - to 25H2 - was on Oct 18. I don't think that the issue was then already. I don't remember any updates of taskbar related apps.
Same here on linux: I think the issue is related to the "wite" text in menus being hardcoded instead of using the theme/schema of the system.
It's the same with light and dark theme here - all white or all black.
The popups of other apps still work correct.
The same happens on KDE in linux as well. The popup window stays blank. When left-clicking on it, menus pop up and files open. It doesn't seem to matter, if I use a light or dark theme (tried breeze light, breeze dark and opensuse).

@bege10 thanks for the report
You can upload a debug archive (and if possible a screencast displaying that issue) to https://cloud.nextcloud.com/s/pFysX82J56eNeJC
Linux KDE 22.04 LTS Whatever combination of colors in the theme (even editing all of them), text and icons in the popup right-menus stay white: this is why I think the color is hardcoded (and develop happens on a dark theme :) ).

accomplished.
Here are the screenshots with dark and light theme. The white square is where the cursor is. The screenshot does not display it correctly. As written before under/near the cursor you can see some text.
@Rello as @cdeligant and @TikiKiwi report this is not only a Windows but also a Linux GUI issue.
@nilsding Is there hope for a fix? I have this issue at my computer at home and at two computers at work.
@bege10 I didn't see anything obvious in the logs, but one thing you could try is to empty the contents of the %LOCALAPPDATA%/Nextcloud/cache/qmlcache directory -- at least that seemed to resolve a similar issue for people running Linux

This unfortunately did not help. (Of course, I closed the client, cleared the folder and restarted the client.) I doubt that this is only a "hiccup" of the client because the issue exists on three computers at two different places since the same week. I am not sure but it is likely that it came with the update to v4.0.1. Maybe it is not an issue of the program itself but of corrupted data by the update. The update to v4.0 already created trouble with not reliably syncing new folders but creating unwanted ones.
The issue remains after update to v4.0.2
@nilsding The update to v4.0.3 does not fix this issue. We urgently need a fix.
Is there anybody around who can help with this issue?
