@drybx Can you please check again with our new 4.0.0 VFS release for macOS? I cannot reproduce this issue. By the way: Our file provider now has the proper brand icon as the symbol in the Finder side bar in the "Locations" section.
Download our latest stable release here: https://nextcloud.com/install/#desktop-files
why should there be an icon at all? I'm seeing the same, but I would say the icon should not be in the dock at all, since it's already permanently visible in the System Tray.
@the-baaron Because macOS displays running apps with foreground windows in the dock. Usually, the app bundle icon is used automatically by macOS. As far as I know we do not mess with the Dock icon.
For completeness: When apps do not appear in the Dock as a user activity, you can also not access it conveniently through the task switcher or more importantly activate it with conventional accessibility or window control features of macOS because it is not treated like a usual app.
This issue has been automatically marked as stale because it has not had recent activity and seems to be missing some essential information. It will be closed if no further activity occurs. Thank you for your contributions.
