Email notifications are never sent

I selected all options for email notifications for Deck that are available in the Nextcloud admin section "notifications". My email settings are correct and working. However, I never get any email notification on changes in Deck. As a cron setting in Nextcloud I am using "Ajax".

After some experiments I found out that it does not work with the option "Ajax" as a cron setting. I wonder if this is a Nextcloud related problem. I tried it with invoking the "cron.php" via a webscript which executes "cron.php" - that worked for some actions that were executed 3 days ago. Further executions of the webcron script did not have any effect at all.

In the end, it does not work with any cron setting and Deck. I never get any notifications.

Anything new on that? It's a crucial functionality.

I tested it with version 1.13.1 - still no sausage.
