Announcements not shown in dashboard
The announcements on the dashboard are not shown. They appear in the "announcementcenter"-tab.

The announcement section shows only self-penned messages. Create a usergroup named 'News' and add users to the group. Those group members are able to create/edit/delete dashboard announcements. Users, which are not member of 'News' can only read announcements.
The "News"-group did the trick, thx But the announcements in Dashboard are different from the announcement-center, right? I thought, all the announcements from announcement-center are shown in Dashboard. Your answer should go to the user-manual, at least for dashboard.
What I really like in the announcements from the Dashoard is the Texteditor, where you can do basic text-formatting.
Haven't tested it yet, but is there a listing of all announcements, even the ones, that are outdated? Sorry for the additional questions ;)

yep, the announcements of Dashboard App are unrelated to Announcement-Center App.
Expired announcements are still present in the database (Table [prefix]_dashboard_announcements). But there is no panel or overview to show expired announcements.
