Contact Groups are not sync between Nextcloud and Thunderbird

Describe the bug

I created a contact group in Contact. I want to sync it with Thunderbird. The group doesn't appears in the Thunderbird Contact.

Steps to reproduce

1. Created a contact group in Contact.
2. Sync with TB
3. No contact group in TB

Expected behavior

TB and NC can have the save contact groups.

Actual behavior

Current behavior if I create a contact group I don't have it on TB.

Same behavior when you sync Contacts with native iOS address book. On iOS, with other provider (Mailo.com) Contacts Groups are sync (CardDav protocol). I can't test with Thunderbird before next week. Perhaps a CardDav settings should be changed in Nextcloud/Contact app. Edit 25/08/2024 : After tests

• Nextcloud Contacts to Thunderbird : Contacts Groups are not synch
• Nextcloud Contacts to iOS Contacts : Contacts Groups are not synch
• Mailo.com provider mail to Thunderbird : Contacts Groups are not synch
• Mailo.com provider mail to iOS Contacts : Contacts Groups are synch

@LAfricain So I'm afraid that getting the behavior that we want doesn't just depend on Nextcloud Contacts

I think it is a Thunderbird issue. Using Cardbook Add-On in Thunderbird shows the groups as Categories.

We use a non-standard implementation of contact groups as we technically do not support VCard 4.0 KIND property.
