Collectives brainstorming contributor week 2025

Most use it mainly at work, for internal documentation.
Some use it for personal or political projects, too.
Most of the times it's a knowledge base, Marketing/Sales also promote it as such.
Sometimes it's a project management tool.
Most people agree that generally it's pretty well usable.
Mobile usability not so good, though.

Sorted by vote count. (Some items received a lower vote count because some people had to leave early.)

[ ] 9 Editing bugs, formatting glitches and slow speed (Text app problems)
[ ] 9 Missing activity timeline, that lists comments and shows version change
[ ] 7 Mobile app for Notes and Collectives
[ ] 7 Dashboard with selected/favourite/most-used pages
[ ] 7 Speed up page rendering
[ ] 7 Give search results more context, highlight the found snippet.
[ ] 6 Layouts: Columns on a page, drag and drop content, display sub-pages as cards.
[ ] 6 Improve integration with other apps (Tasks/Deck/Calendar/Files) e.g. via widgets, so uploading a file, creating a task etc. can be done from Collectives (currently one has to switch to the other app, which takes you out of the context).
[ ] 6 Embed current content in its context (make it look more like a book, bread crumbs, next/prev page)
[ ] 5 Sidebar not discoverable
[ ] 4 Placeholder content for empty page
[ ] 4 Spellchecker for text
[ ] 3 Switch to using full available width is not intuitive
[ ] 2 Improve template management
[ ] 5 In editing mode: Context popover at cursor position/for current selection
[ ] 2 Missing export to PDF
[ ] 1 Editing button at cursor position
[ ] 1 More sharing options
