"nextcloud" vs. "Nextcloud"
Currently the client is calling himself "nextcloud" when it is installed 😁 I think we should call the app Nextcloud instead and make an capital "N" 😉
cc @jancborchardt @blizzz
@MariusBluem where do you see it being lowercase? In my app menu and tray it calls itself "Nextcloud desktop sync client". On Linux.
The App Name on OS X 😉 Stolen the screenshots from @hagengraf ... To lazy to take my own 😜

Yo @rullzer what is this? ;D
The ownCloud app is also called "owncloud.app". I will not change this casing as it could easily break stuff since we're just branding. (and the scripts from ownCloud are made for that)
Does it make sense to open an issue upstream 😁 @LukasReschke
Well. You could make one and ask the client to be renamed to "ownCloud.app". If that is done, then I can adjust our theming as well.
No need to reference this ticket here.

Would it cause any problems if we name it "Nextcloud" instead of "nextcloud" ... I don't understand the the need for them calling it "ownCloud" instead of "owncloud" so that we can do this 😁

This is clear 😈😄

The theming and build scripts are lower-cased like that.
just to throw s.th. in: The configuration directories under %AppData% (win) or ~Library/Application Support (mac) are called "ownCloud" and "NextCloud" 🎉 🎈
Ups ... @LukasReschke
Is this still an issue? Otherwise please close. Thanks!
It still is. cc @Ivansss who had the same issue. How can we fix this @rullzer @pfiff45? :)
Uhm I don't know. But frankly I'm to busy to care about a capitalized binary
@rullzer It is possible .. checked with an branded client :)
