Missing “apply to all/this/this and following” options for recurring events in calendar #12142
Steps to reproduce
Steps to reproduce: Create a recurring event. Open one occurrence of the recurring series. Try to accept/decline or modify that single event. Observe that there are no options to apply the action to only this event, this and following events, or all events, and the series behavior becomes inconsistent.
Expected behavior
When interacting with a recurring event, the calendar should provide options similar to Gmail: “This event only” “This and following events” “All events in the series” This would allow users to respond or modify without breaking the recurrence for the entire series.
Actual behavior
Title: Missing “apply to all/this/this and following” options for recurring events Description: When I respond to one instance of a recurring calendar event (accept/decline/other), the action applies only to that single event and breaks the recurrence pattern for the rest. There is no option to choose whether my response applies to: Just this event This and following events All events in the series Gmail Calendar offers these three options, which prevents the series from being broken when responding to just one event. In the current behavior, if I accept or decline only one occurrence, the rest of the recurring events are treated as separate and are no longer linked correctly as a series.
