Scared to click Accept/Decline on a recurring event
Steps to reproduce
- Have someone setup a recurring event (ex: every 2 weeks) and invite self
- Accept all events
- Later on, try to decline only a single event in the series
- Stare at the "Decline" button, wondering if it will decline the whole thing or just a single event
Expected behavior
Some indication that makes it clear that the event will decline a single event or the whole series, or whether it's going to ask after clicking.
Or have two buttons, or maybe a button with an arrow that allows selecting one of both options.
Actual behaviour
Too scared to click

and the UI is confusing:
because there are buttons for "update this occurrence" and "update all future", should these be checkboxes of sorts, so that any action clicked, whether update, accept or decline applies to the scope ?
This is not the first time I find myself staring at this dialog, afraid to cancel a series of events by mistake and having to ask the organizer to invite me again.

It depends :)
IIRC in the invitation sent by Nextcloud and the accept/decline buttons you will update the general attendance of the event. If you do it from Thunderbird it will create a recurrence exception and create a second attendance list.
We discussed this in the team but are still not really sure how this handled correctly.
if not solvable quickly, maybe at least rename the button to state what they exactly do to prevent confusion
@st3iny would that be possible?
