Bug with recurring event that has become unique

Open Jerome-Herbinet opened this issue 3 years ago • 8 comments

Hello !

Steps to reproduce

  1. Create a recurring event (running all day... so no schedule) in your calendar from NextCloud, in your desktop browser
  2. Have an Android smartphone with davx5, and a calendar application to display my events (I use Simple Calendar Pro)
  3. Modify only one occurrence of this recurring event (which will make this event no longer recurring at this date and will therefore become a unique event)

Expected behaviour

On my smartphone, I should see the event with the change made

Actual behaviour

On my smartphone, the event disappears I think I understood the following problem: When, in my desktop browser, I go back to my old recurring event that has become unique, I see that the checkbox to indicate whether the event runs all day (without a schedule) or not, is grayed out (disabled) ... with a title on the hover indicating that you can't change the whole day setting, as it is a recurring event. So I think that although my event is apparently "unique", it is still considered somewhere in the system as a recurring event (hence the bug that notably makes my event disappear from my phone after modification). This is hard to explain, but I hope you understand :-)

Calendar application

3.0.5

Client configuration

Firefox 97 Windows and GNU/Linux

Server configuration

Ubuntu 20.04 server NextCloud 22.2.3

Best regards,

Jérôme

Can you export the event ICS before and after it has been altered by DAVx5, and post it here (with any personal information removed of course)?

Hello @tcitworld , Some time ago you asked for additional information (which I provided). Was this sufficient for you to conduct your research? I remain at your disposal. Jérôme
