Upload to external storage doesnt work

I was waiting for this backup feature for quite a while and really happy to see it. However, this feels more like an alpha / beta version to me. Tried various fresh installs, sometimes it back-ups, sometimes it doesnt. SMB seems to work best, SFTP doenst work at all. Folders get created but nothing gets uploaded. Restore didnt work, when it worked, it did not re-instate the latest version of NC, but I was able to retrieve data from the server itself, install new and would upload data there (all testing scenarios). Today it didnt come back from maintenance mode. I have a real small installation 4 GB of data, ubuntu server tells me 16 GB are used in total. Snapshots from the VM taken daily cosnume in total 170 GB ? Keeps tellign me next restore point in 5 minutes.... since hours...

I tried S3 and Local folder! backup:point:upload always fails with memory exhaustion! what ever we do
