allow user to create own approval workflows
hello together, geat app!
At the moment only administrators can create "approval workflows". I would love to see the feature that also users can manage "approval workflows" for their teams/sub-organisations. Simular how it is done with the circles groups / app.
In a nextcloud instance where you manage sub-departments/organisations the main administrators are & should not be aware / need to manage the worksflows of the sub-organistations.
Hi, I agree it would be nice but it's more complicated than it seems. We chose to only let admins define approval workflows because they have an effect on all users.
If we allowed all users to create approval workflows, they could do crazy things like create a workflow for every tag and set everybody as approver.
Maybe there is an in-between solution with group admins. It would imply a lot of changes in the app though... I'll think about that.
For me it would be fantastic if a generic 'Simple One Stage Approval' flow could be created by the admin that would allow any user to fill-in the recipient themselves (limited to the groups the user is a member of, maybe limited to groups with a defined maximum number of members, or as first improvement, limited to users only?). This would be vastly more flexible than the current implementation IMHO.
Could you create an approval flow for approval settings themselves, so users could create approval flows, and admins could just approve them before they are activated?
