User that asks for approval, does not receive email notifications

I am using NextCloud v26.0.1 and I have installed the Approval Workflows addon.

All in all the addon works great, however I face one important issue: The user that "starts the workflow", i.e. uploads a file and asks for approval, never receives an email notification if their file is finally Approved or Rejected.

For example, I have the following approval workflow:

UserA uploads a file and requests approval -> UserB must approve the file first -> After that UserC must also approve the file -> The file is marked as `Approved`

UserB and UserC always receive emails about pending approval requests. However, UserA who initialy uploaded the file and asked for approval, never receives any emails about the approval status of this file. Only a notification within the Nextcloud UI is received, which is not very practical.

Is this an expected behavior or am I missing something? It does not make sense to me not to receive email notifications about the status of your files.

P.S.: I tested this with several email addresses for UserA, and it is not working for any of them. However the same email addresses can receive test emails coming from Nextcloud just fine.

Is there at least any chance that this will be added to an upcoming version?
