Steps to reproduce

  1. enable upload for my Camera folder and a couple other folders
  2. wait for the uploads to complete
  3. notices that folder on Nextcloud contains a growing number copies of each of my files with a growing number of (2) at the end

Expected behaviour

Since almost all of the files were only create once and never edited, and no other client tries to write to these folders on Nextcloud, I wouldn't expect any conflicts to occur that would lead to the creation of file copies.

Actual behaviour

Screenshot from 2024-04-11 23-53-30

Large number of copies of my files, I guess for conflict resolution. I also tried to switch What to do if the file already exists? to Skip Uploading but I still get the duplicates.

I let this continue until the disk of my sever filled up 100%.

I don't have a beta or dev version. Nor do I have android dev tools. I can try to produce the logs if needed but not right now.

I no longer have the log lines from when the server still had disk space and was syncing.
