I noticed yesterday the same issue on a freshly installed Fairphone 5 (Android 13). At the same time, I also noticed that even manually syncing folders isn't recursive as it used to be, meaning files directly below the synced directory are synced, but not the ones below sub-directories (let me know if I should create a separate issue for this one).

Hi, possible duplicate of https://github.com/nextcloud/android/issues/12641? @ericzolf I think you are describing this https://github.com/nextcloud/android/issues/12358 issue, or do you experience a new issue?

I think you are describing this #12358 issue, or do you experience a new issue?

That doesn't make it better :smirk: but I think you're correct.

possible duplicate of https://github.com/nextcloud/android/issues/12641?

It doesn't look so to me: #12641 is about already synchronized files being synced again all the time. This issue is about modified files not being automatically synced.

Is this really not a noticed issue? In the years I've tried to use nc, it's never automatically synced. Not a dup of #12641, as I'm talking about syncing server side changes, or even local changes to a folder, one has to always click sync on the phone

I had automatic syncing between my phone and computer working recently (in the past month). I'm not sure what changed, but now the phone app doesn't auto-sync the subfolders.

Same here:

  1. Nextcloud does NOT detect changes on files/folders and sync them automatically on background;
  2. (Maybe another topic) When manually requesting a sync, Nextcloud doesn't detect changes on subfolders (and therefore do not sync), unless I open that subfolder and Nextcoud finally recognizes the updates.

Same here subfolders too many levels down do not get synced, switched back to version 3.27.0 and they all sync as they should. Stuck on that version until its fixed.

Same here, NextCloud does not detect changes to the files when offline. After the NextCloud server becomes available again the NextCloud client for Android does not perform any automatic sync. The manual sync works.
