Steps to reproduce

  1. Open the Android File Manager
  2. Select a file from local storage
  3. Select ...
  4. Select Copy to ...
  5. Select Burger Menu
  6. Select Nextcloud
  7. Create a new folder (top right icon)
  8. Enter "Test " (with a trailing space!)
  9. Select Copy

Expected behaviour

It should not be possible to create a folder with trailing space or the file should copy without a problem.

Actual behaviour

Folder with trailing space is being created, but file can not be copied. Also future attempts to copy files (via the inbuilt file manager or share option) results in errors. The trailing space in the folder name is very hard to see.

Additional information

I'm not sure if this is actually a problem of the nextcloud android app, because the problem is happening via the inbuilt file manager.

I also tried to create a folder with trailing space in other ways, but was only able to reproduce in the above mentioned way.

I can collect logs if needed to debug this.

I'm using Lineage OS 20.
