Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe. One of the reason to have a cloud storage would be, I guess, to be able to clean up the limited memory of devices like phones/tablets. I would find it useful to set a maximum time for which to hold local copies of files for automatically synchronized folders.
Describe the solution you'd like Something like a month for example would be enough to hold local copies of images taken with my phone, everything older should be deleted locally and kept just on my cloud storage.
Describe alternatives you've considered Perhaps a toggle for some images I want to always keep locally, would be nice. But that's not a deal breaker, cos you could always copy them to another local folder, where the sync is not deleting old files.
Why don't use VFS by default, and only keep local copies of what you really need to be local ?

so I still have to go there every month to make me some copies of the files I want to keep locally? In case of pics and videos I want them to be 'archived' after a period, but still keep them locally for some time. A local folder could be specified by ticking a 'sync' box. In those, sync can happen like it is now, so I always keep everything on both sides. That's for documents or other important images (scans) for example, stuff you need to be synced on more than one device. Or have that box named 'archive' and ticked if you want the folder to be archived after some time. Perhaps users want to use most folders it that way, but give that archiving option for others.
