Download notification hangs

Steps to reproduce

Unfortunately I can not provide exact steps to reproduce the problem, only rough ones:

1.) Install app and access a file (I doubt that it needs to be a .xlsx as in my case). 2.) After this, the app caches a local copy of this file somewhere and tries to keep it synchronized. It does not make a difference whether I access the file again or not. 3.) Time passes (maybe even weeks), and at some time I pick up the phone from the table and take a look at the notifications. There I find the notification state as shown in the screenshot.

I tried for an hour now to trigger the issue by hand but unfortunately couldn't. No matter wheter I switched networks, disconnected my WiFi or entered flight mode. The download always aborted into an error notification. So I suspect some relation to the display going black and the device kicking some part of the app from execution.

Expected behaviour

Downloading should finish or at least end in an error.

Actual behaviour

The downloading notification hangs in this state forever. I can not swipe it away. It also does not go away if i click on it. In this case the app just opens the directory which contains the file in the app. The notification still stays as screenshotted.

The attached adb log was recorded while I clicked on the notification with the app opening.

Hello,

I experience a very similar behavior. I keep few files synchronized on the phone (Samsung S10plus, stock OS, Android 12, Nextcloud client: 3.29.2) and the Nextcloud server (28.0.6) I use the laptop to modify one of the files and upload it to Nextcloud. Laptop is not synced, I just drop the new file in Nextcloud UI and check the 'conflict' checkbox to allow the new version. Soon after, the Nextcloud client application detects the change and downloads the file, but it never finishes .. and is impossible to dismiss the notification:

Hi there,

I am also experiencing a similar problem.

When I update a file on my computer that is also synced on my smartphone i get a notification on android that is reading "Downloading..." and I can't swipe it away. I have to kill the app in order to remove the notification. The screenshot shows the result after three times updating the same file.
