Yes, definitely, but technically this is already a PR (Pull request), but in WIP (work in progress). But definitely a good idea so that we can discuss this.

i'm receiving an error message when i tried to commit and push. So maybe i'm doing it wrong? do I need to create a new branch, as "readme-update", before pushing my file?

what exactly is the error message? You should be able to push to the punkyard-patch-1 branch...

All good! However you have not made any changes to the branch in the meantime afaics. Also the file is conflicting now which needs to be resolved first...
