Feature Request: filtering in e-mail notification

One of my colleagues asked whether it would be possible to exclude certain files or directories from the e-mail notification. That would be very useful in case this certain directory is edited a lot, but also well frequented by the user anyway.

In case it fits in the same enhancement: I'd like to be able to filter all activity for a particular user. I have a "user" that is a bot posting web cam videos, and it fills up my activity feed. Filtering those out would leave only real actions done by myself and other users.
