Kerberos authentication?

Hello - I've searched and not found anything current, so asking here. Found a similar question from 2012 on Sourceforge, but no reply.

Has any discussion taken place about what it would take to add the ability to use Kerberos tickets to authenticate? Or does the ability already exist in a branch? -Thanks
