Can someone tell me what the point of training is?
I was under the impression that I'd be able to give a set of images for a face, and then train a model so that the face swapping results for that face would be greatly improved.
As far as I can tell from all the documentation its not to do with that at all. Can anyone please tell me what the training is for? i downloaded the 11gb file but I dont see why I need to train if they have already trained (something) for me?

As far as I understand, the whole point of training was to train own model 512 (that will be more better in theory than existing 512 beta). But unfortunately there is no point in training because the test code is incompatible with a model that you can train yourself ... At the moment it is impossible even test your model, not only to use to replace faces in videos or photos.
Oh okay. Thanks for responding. Will there be / is there anyway to provide a set of say, 40 images of the same face to make a better face swap for? Or is that way in the far future?

It works a little differently than training like in DeepFaceLab. I see no reason to use any personal images for training, they will not affect the result.
