small tweak suggestion: i feel like 'demo' ( 'This demo project...' or just 'This demo uses a...') should be in there so it's conveyed that it's just this version of the project that uses the shared database. it feels like that may be understood but it may be good to be explicit.

i'm cool w the 3 touch points (home page, login, signup) but would also be interested to see what it looks like to have it on every page if we could just set it to be a part of the base template.
