Recursive keyword blocking can be bypassed using the recent apps screen

Open will3graa1 opened this issue 9 months ago • 0 comments

My device is a Samsung A21s, running one UI core 4.1 (Android 12)

I was blocking content using the recursive keyword search feature in the app, and I setup some sample keywords to test it. After opening the content, the app pressed the home button as expected.

When I used the recent apps screen to reopen the content, the app did not search for the keywords again till I interacted with the screen in any way - this let me view the content as long as I didn't touch my screen, and I could interact with it a bit before it found the keywords and pressed home again.

This may be intentionally done to avoid performance issues, but a workaround could be to close the app from the recent apps menu (similar to the "Lock Me Out" app by TEQTIC).

I'm not too technical myself, and I'm also not familiar with Kotlin/android so I apologize if this isn't a problem with the app but has something to do with my device settings.
