I started addressing some of the errors here: https://github.com/nestjs/graphql/pull/1860

I haven't made very much progress, but it might give you an idea of where some of the type errors are.

Other packages I'm using have made the v16 upgrade, but I can't use their newer versions, because Nest-graphql hasn't been upgraded to v16 yet. Would be great, if it would be.

I started this branch to see if the community would start lending a hand fixing the bugs:

I haven't updated my packages and I would love to bring that PR over the finish line for the same reasons you have.
