eval command should print error message instead of failing silently when run before VM has been started

In the current main branch, I'd expect eval trace("hi") to print "hi" to the console.

Instead, nothing happens for me, I think that's a regression. Could it be related to the multi-programming language support?

Did you load and run a cartridge first to start the VM?

Oh, that did the trick! Didn't know about that relationship. I edited the title of this issue to reflect this. :)
