The readme should give you a good starting point. If you have then a specific question, please push the branch and then we can discuss it with code.

Would like to see this feature also. AFAIK, this is one of 3 apps that is not using SSO in the Nextcloud ecosystem.

@szaimen I was checking the android apps for Nextcloud like Talk, Notes, News, Bookmarks and others. Among them all SMS, Bookmarks, Password and Simpletask is missing SSO other than these all have SSO. Bookmarks also has it planned to do the SSO so as it is in the devs todo list.

@fazlerabbi37 thanks for the list, sounds quite complete and definitely interesting. But actually, I prefer https://github.com/nextcloud/tasks over everything else in terms of Tasks apps for Android ;)

Pleasure! I, too, use Task with Tasks android app but I mentioned Simpletask because it has an Nextcloud variation on Play Store.

well... last commit that was not l10n was in 2019 (2020 if you consider last pull from ocsms) so.... i think this project can be considered dead now.
