Issues with top row/main section

The root issue I'm having is the +/- buttons ends up on top and bottom of the set temp when there isn't enough room. I would like them to stay on the same horizontal row when space is tight, while keeping the current temp and state also on the same row; hiding them is not a proper solution for me.

The easiest way to fix this is probably just allow the tempºF/C to dynamically resize itself so that the controls fit in the same horizontal space, like so:

(But, this sort of brings up a bigger flaw in the design of this card regarding the temp/state labels and I've made a separate issue about it here)

The responsiveness of these controls is a pain point I'm well aware of, I just never found the motivation to dig into it. I would it if someone else wanted to work on making it more responsive. The other issue I find more interesting for my own use cases :)
