Keeping a consistent voice over a long piece of text

When generating long passages of text (short stories) into an audio version. I am using one of the already fine tuned voices (kennard) and it generally produces very high quality content, though it can change substantially across the book.

It also often abruptly cuts of the text, like it doesn't quite let the sentence be finished.

Any ideas on how to maintain a consistent voice over long passages? Any ideas on how to stop it from cutting the audio abruptly?
