Layout is unavailable when terminations are selected

The layout pull down menu and save button disappear whenever you select a termination. They should be available and apply to the current viewer.

This only seems to happen with origins now. I'll see if I can fix this, since I was recently working on related issues.

I've made a number of changes to the selection system. If everyone could keep an eye out and make sure things still work like they should (esp. things with the toolbar, like interactive plots, scriptgen, layouts, etc.), I'd appreciate it.
