menus disappear when you try to use them

Problem occurs when window maximized. Problem does not occur when windows are un-maximized.

OS: Mint

I've had this happen during general use of Ubuntu (i.e., with programs other than Nengo) at home. I have a strange dual monitor setup (my laptop monitor is lower res than my external monitor), which seems to cause the problem.

Thanks Eric, I was also using two monitors at the time. I can't reproduce it on my workstation (Mint running Openbox window manager) but I think I saw this on Pete's workstation which I was using during the sprint.

This really looks like an upstream bug, but maybe there's something nengo could detect? I'll leave it to someone else to close this, since it may make nengo look bad even if it's not nengo's bug.

I think this is the same as issue #146? Can you unmaximize and see if this is still an issue?

@jaberg did you try the maximize thing? (or do you not have the 2 monitors going anymore?)
