Additional sources for merging manga
I've been considering switching to Neko as my Tachiyomi fork of choice as the functionality is nice. Unfortunately there's many manga I'm missing where the merge feature does not do enough for me. It seems the only (or the most common) source to merge from is Manga Life, but many manga, including Kaguya-sama lack up to date translations, making this impractical. Is there anything I could do on my end to help?
More merge options will be planned but there is no eta as there is a lot of work. As for your example merging kaguya results in all the chapters in English
Thanks for your response, I checked and indeed Manga Life does have all the chapters for Kaguya, not sure what happened there. I'll try to get some more examples when I try Neko again.

You dont need to provide more examples, i know there are some things lacking. Mostly manhua and manhwa
That would be an extremely useful and nice to have functionality. Please please please @CarlosEsco ❤️❤️❤️
Just curious, is the Neko fork so radically different from Tachiyomi that the extensions don't work?
Would be great if it supported Manganato and Toonily. Currently using J2K but like that Neko can sync with the website (follows, chapter reads).
To my understanding traditional extensions can't work because everything revolves around Mangadex, so traditional extensions can't work, you need to make a system that can fill in missing chapters in mangadex, which I imagine would be a bit different. Now I see no reason why some extension code can't be reused for merging manga.

The more extensions you add especially if they are shit quality the more issues you have. For example manganato changing source urls, and general complexity that is added when the app tries to calculate missing chapters
@CarlosEsco try adding Mangakakalot. It has most of the mangas in it...!
Why use Neko for MangaDex if you're yearning for other sources? This is almost like asking for YouTube to support showing videos from Vimeo.
Because Mangadex features are very useful, but I also need a lot of missing manga and I'd like both ideally As for the Mangakakalot suggestion I'm not sure that would be ideal since they don't properly number chapters which makes merging hard, maybe as a "last resort" source for when you can't find anything.

Because Mangadex don't have everything, particularly manhwa. Even Solo Leveling, which is a very famous title, isn't being updated there. The merging on Neko doesn't help, because in Manga Life it's even far behind. On the other hand, Neko has useful features like Filtering by scan group, which doesn't exist on other Tachyi flavors.

It has every chapter of solo leveling
