This package looks abandoned.
@neitanod is no answering to the different notification across PR or issues.
The most advanced fork looks to be https://github.com/Fylax/forceutf8
Can we continue the development through this fork @fylax ?
Can't promise I will do any active development, but at long as its about checking PR and merging if good to go, that can do for me

Can you merge your last PR proposal into main and create a packagist package ?
No clue about packagist and I'm on Christmas break right now, but I'll do as soon as I get close to a PC
@RobinDev merged everything on master and published on packagist. Should you have any PR, I'm ready to check on them.
@Fylax thank you for putting it on packagist. Would it be possible to also create a release so that we can check-out with tag in packagist rather than hitting dev-master ? :)
@ildyria as per request, I created a release. I started with v3 to avoid any clashing with original version

INI directive 'mbstring.func_overload' is deprecated since PHP 7.2 this is in your fork. Using phpcompatibility tool.
I had to reported it here since in your fork issues are disabled.
