Allow users to control meta name tags on individual pages through the CMS
Right now the summary in Google searches show up as 'you are not using Javascript'. You can manually put a meta tag in the templates, but when you are using the same template for each page that's less preferred SEO. Putting a field for this tag on the form for each page would be very helpful.
I think this would be a great feature! It will take some time to implement, but in the meantime, I have a quick-and-dirty idea that would at least improve matters:
We do auto-generate a <meta property="og:description"> tag for link previews on social media feeds, so one quick/easy thing I could do would be to have it use that same content for the <meta name="description"> tag that Google uses. For the Be-Con 2023 homepage this would be:
Be-Con is Back! September 29 - October 1, 2023 Be-Con 2023 News 2023-04-07 Correction! This website and some of our advertisement material previously read "S...
Obviously not ideal, but it would be a super easy improvement. What do you think?

@knitmeapony OK, the workaround is now in production! I'll leave this ticket open because I do think having a way to override the meta description on pages would be ideal in the long term.
Perfect thanks, I'll let the team know!
