Manila causing issues with Dropbox Finder extension on macOS 12.3

It seems Manila is causing issues with the Dropbox Finder extension on my system - M1 Macbook Pro, running Monterey 12.3, Manila v1.0.1

  • I wasn't getting any icons indicating cloud sync status in my Dropbox folder at all (i.e. a cloud showing a file is not downloaded locally, or a green tick showing it is)
  • I uninstalled & reinstalled Dropbox according to their instructions - no difference.
  • I tried disabling other Finder extensions on my system, and as soon as I disabled Manila, the Dropbox Finder icons came back.
  • I then re-enabled the Manila extension, and the Dropbox icons were still present.
  • I rebooted to make sure the fix would persist, but it did not. Dropbox icons were once again not present after the reboot completed.
  • Re-disabling Manila fixed the issue.

Hoping there might be an easy fix for this?

Ditto on Intel iMac. Dropbox folder changes color for 1 second and then changes back to default color.
