Add libftdi support.

This is some initial `libftdi` support. Tested on MacOS 10.8.4 and Linux. On MacOS X (if installed) the FTDI VCP kernel extension must be unloaded, i.e. `sudo kextunload -b com.FTDI.driver.FTDIUSBSerialDriver`....
