Setup communication channels

Problem

We have too many communication channels, and it is hard to address all the conversations.

How did we discover this problem?

I either spend too much time checking all the possible channels or rely on someone mentioning me or pinging me in PM.

Job Story(s)

  • When users discovered a security issue, they want to know how to bring that to the team's attention (security channel)
  • When users observe some odd behavior, they want to know how to bring that to the team's attention (github issues)
  • When users have suggestions, they want to know where their feedback will be addressed (github discussions)
  • When I want to prioritize work for Explorer, I want to have all the information in a single place so I can efficiently address it (github issues)

What are we planning to do about it?

  • [ ] Configure all the channels
  • [ ] Mention all the channels in the README
  • [ ] Reference the README with the communication channels on the Explorer UI
  • [ ] Mention all the channels in all the groups we have around

What are we not planning to do about it?

N/A

How will we measure success?

The communication happening in a single place, feedback is captured and processed in a timely manner.
