There are a few things I would like to see added to waypoints.

Firstly, make it so that when you switch lobbies, the "progress" on ordered waypoints resets (if some people don't want this, it could be toggleable).

Secondly, it would be nice if you could locally save routes (something like /firm waypoints save [name]; /firm waypoints load [name]).

Thirdly, having a setting for a range on how far it counts as reaching the ordered waypoint.

And lastly (this is kind of big, but I would love it), the mod could detect what mineshaft type you are in and then, if you have added a route for that specific mineshaft, it loads automatically.

I have no experience in making mods, so I don't know how difficult these would be. And if you ask why I don't just do it myself—well, that's why.

The two features I would like the most are resetting progress and saving waypoints locally.
