I've tried with hoogle-5.0.4 + nightly-2016-10-03.

Same result.

Thanks.

Do you still have this error? Can you paste just the current error message, from the version end. Is it still about haddock failing to write out a file?

Hit by this issue again with text-textual,0.3.0.2 built with scientific,0.3.4.11 (no problem with 0.3.4.10, though):

haddock: internal error: <stderr>: hPutChar: invalid argument (invalid character)

Which version of Hoogle are you using? I believe this got fixed in 5.0.8.
